Status Of The Disinfection Industry

- Jul 22, 2020-

At present, the commonly used disinfection methods include chlorination, ozone, chlorine dioxide, ultraviolet and bromine products, and metal ion disinfection, such as silver ion, but the complete set of equipment is very expensive and rarely used in China. Chlorination disinfection is to use chlorine or chloride to react with water to release hypochlorous acid to kill bacteria and viruses.

The chlorination disinfection method has a long history and gradually replaces the disinfection treatment. Disinfectants for chlorination disinfection include common chlorine products, such as liquid chlorine, calcium hypochlorite, sodium hypochlorite, sodium dichloroisocyanurate and trichloroisocyanuric acid. Liquid chlorine is a liquid obtained after the liquefaction of chlorine gas. The content of available chlorine is nearly 100%. It is usually used in large commercial swimming pools and even its price share, but it is rarely used because of its danger and odor prevention.

Sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) is commonly known as high-efficiency bleaching powder. Commercially available agents contain 10% to 15% of available chlorine. The price has risen and it is easy to obtain. It is a disinfectant that is less frequently used.

Trichloroisocyanuric acid (TCCA), commonly known as strong chlorin, has an effective chlorine content of 85%-95%. It is an organochlorine disinfectant that can effectively and quickly kill various bacteria, fungi, fungi, spores, and molds. Vibrio cholerae and algae killing. Its properties are stable, and therefore, to the human eye and therefore, now swimming pool water mostly uses trichloroisocyanuric acid as a disinfectant.
