Product Introduction:

The main component of bleaching powder is calcium hypochlorite, which can be used as a disinfectant, bactericide, bleaching agent (bleaching cotton, linen, pulp, etc.), and can clean acetylene and water. The bleaching powder is easy to decompose and should be sealed and stored.

Preparation principle:

Because absolutely dry calcium hydroxide does not react with chlorine, chlorine can only be absorbed by calcium hydroxide. Therefore, in the industry, slaked lime containing free moisture below 1% is used for chlorination, and the chlorine used also contains moisture below 0.06%. Using the free water in these raw materials, the chlorine gas is converted to acid (HClO, HCl), and the acid is neutralized by slaked lime. , The water precipitated by calcium hydroxide during the chlorination reaction causes chlorine to continue to decompose, so that more calcium hydroxide participates in the reaction process, and a variety of compounds are generated. Bleaching powder is a complex composed of these compounds.
